Enviousness seems to be strongly connected to jealousy in some cases.

Well, something in general up front: If someone stirs up this feeling inside of you, you can consider yourself quite happy - finally someone shows you what you have got to work on

Anyhow, what is the pattern behind it? Probably fear. Fear of not having enough. The senses are calling for somethings someone else has. Again the illusion of separation is underlying this pattern. Also we have the desire for sensual pleasure, which is not the way to go - maybe you came across this daily quote already:
eeking happiness outside ourselves is like waiting for sunshine in a cave facing north. Tibetan saying

This is another illusion. Pretty condensed and packed thing, this enviousness.

Anyhow, I can't deal with that today any more. It won't go away soon, let's have a look at it again later on
