We are working in one of these light-built Australian houses - thin walls, thin roofs. Apart from being a disaster regarding energy savings, it has it's charm - especially an a rainy day like this one. The raindrops on the roof are so present that they make you feel being right in the middle of nature, but still being protected. The sound itself has a soothing effect, it makes you more aware of your environment, brings you back from chasing tasks back into the present moment.

In its essence it is not only rain - as a weather phenomena - it is life. Its characteristics of existence reflects life, its characteristics as an element is the basis for all other life on this planet.

Just looking at a picture makes you feel relaxed.


....that just reminds me of a quote from the book "Sex, Death and Enlightenment" (forgot the name of the author), it went something like this: "Looking around you ask yourself how could this life be anything else than magic?" - and he is right, it's all around us, we just forgot to look properly

...magic is really around us when we think of nature and the way we, human beings, are intertwined with it...this is an istictive thought I had today on a hot summer day (Italy) immersed in the beautiful and rehealing sea waters, it was like the reunification of two parts making a whole! maybe it was perfect!

I wanted to congratulate with the author of this site (Andreas) for the interest and depth of articles and reflections...it's really an invitation to try to understand ourselves and our environment, both spiritual and physical
