Dear friends, for those of you living in Western Australia this might be interesting. The Milligan community centre organizes a forum with the title "Religion - Can it be an instrument of peace?". Three distinguished key note speakers form different faiths will make the talks highly interesting. This event is part of the "Living in harmony initiative", sponsored by the Australian Government. Please find more information about it here. For any questions the organizer Riadh Ali is more than happy to answer your requests. Enjoy. LIVING IN HARMONY COMMUNITY PROJECTRELIGION: CAN IT BE AN INSTRUMENT OF PEACE?
This is not a forum merely about religion. Rather, it is a challenge to assumptions that religion, conflict and violence are synonyms. In the final analysis, the question remains, can religion be an instrument of peace? Our guest panellists will attempt to provide us with some answers. THE PANEL: Our three distinguished panel members are: Dr Marjorie Tidman from the Bahá’í Faith; Bishop David McCall, Anglican Bishop of Bunbury and Imam Jalil, Imam of Rivervale Mosque.
