Living in Harmony - Local Living in Harmony is a project funded by the Australian Government. AUS$1.5Mio have been provided for projects in 2007 to support a cross-cultural und cross-religious exchange of ideas, thoughts and ideologies.
Riadh Ali is the project officer for Living in Harmony Community Project at Milligan. Milligan Community Learning and Resource Centre in Bunbury was able to secure a grant to introduce this project in the Bunbury region (that is in the South West of Western Australia). In March the "Multicultural Under the Stars festival" took place under this project. Since then, people from the region have the possibility to come together for monthly discussion. Each first Thursday of every month anyone who is interested in putting his or her "ideas on the table to find the common threads" is more than welcome to join.
